New patients

If you’re new to Helix House and orthodontic treatment, you may be wondering what to expect. As a new patient, we want to ensure you are fully informed about your treatment, so here’s what happens on your first visit with us.

New patients

Your first impression

When you arrive, our receptionists will welcome you and ensure you are comfortable in our spacious lounge area. We’ve set this up for your convenience with wi-fi, relaxing sofas, and tables and chairs for those wishing to work on laptops.

Your children can use our exclusive Juniors’ Lounge to play or perhaps start some homework. Our receptionists will always offer you freshly brewed coffee or a pot of tea, which is individually served. Juices and waters are also available for those preferring a cold drink.

New patients

Your consultation

We always allow enough time for your visit so your consultation can be carried out in a relaxed and purely professional manner. Each new patient consultation lasts approximately half an hour, allowing us time to listen to you, diagnose any problems and explain our findings in a way you will fully understand.

This consultation will be carried out by our Treatment Coordinator. Clinical photographs are taken at this appointment which are reviewed by a Specialist Orthodontist who will advise you of your brace options.

Your payment options

We believe it’s your right to know everything about your health so we work hard to ensure you fully understand what treatment you need, what options you have and how much it will cost. There are no surprise extras and no hidden charges. We understand that cost is sometimes a barrier and to help overcome this we are pleased to offer you a range of easy payment options.

If you are funding treatment privately, your treatment can start immediately. For patients utilising our finance facility, treatment can begin in a week or two.

All prices quoted for our brace systems include:

  • All x-rays, scans and photographs required during treatment
  • All necessary appliances/ aligners and retainers
  • All adjustments to the appliances/ aligners
