At Helix House Orthodontics, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to achieve the perfect smile. So, when Dental Monitoring came on the scene, we knew it was something we wanted to have available for our Invisalign® patients. It makes having treatment easy, means less time in the clinic, and faster results.

What is Dental Monitoring?

Dental monitoring is an application you can download straight onto your mobile phone to scan your teeth using the camera on your device. Instead of needing to come into the clinic for a check up every six to eight weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing according to your personalised treatment plan, dental monitoring means you only need to come in once every four months. In between appointments, we can keep track of your treatment via the app.

How does Dental Monitoring work?

Dental Monitoring starts with an in-house appointment. This is our opportunity to assess your treatment needs and devise a bespoke treatment plan for you. Once you commit to treatment and have your customised Invisalign® aligners fitted, we can do the rest via the dental monitoring app, which can be set up in three easy steps:

  • Step one: Download the app to your smartphone. It’s compatible with both Android and iPhone.
  • Step two: Follow the instructions on the app to take weekly progress selfies of your smile.
  • Step three: Upload the selfie to the app. This will come through to our inhouse system where we can compare the position of your teeth with your treatment plan. If all is on track, we only need to see you once every 14 weeks.
